Stein Mart Hosts First Project United Way Runway

 

 

Stein Mart of Southern Pines Manager, Jill Drake and fashion show coordinator, Linda Guerra were pleased with the success of the very first Project United Way Runway fashion show held at the store. In addition to Stein Mart, over 70 local businesses gave door prizes and provided a wonderful array of hors d’oeuvres and desserts to add to the success of the evening. The event showcased spring selections available at the Southern Pines Stein Mart modeled by a “who’s who” list of notables who make their home in Moore County. A fun evening was had by all. 

 

The United Way of Moore County would like to thank all our guests for joining us. Thank you to all the businesses for their contributions which helped raise $1200 to benefit men, women, children, and families in Moore County. We extend a very special thanks to Stein Mart and to Mrs. Linda Guerra for her hard work and dedication to making the project a success. Without all of you, this would not have been possible. Thank you!

The Volunteerism Initiative Moving Forward with United Way Day of Caring Event

Governor Beverly Perdue is encouraging North Carolinians to volunteer as part of a national campaign, “United We Serve.” In line with President Barack Obama’s initiative, the goal is to engage people in volunteer events that help the environment, education, health care access, community renewal, veterans and military families.
