Trike Race Returns
On Thursday, November 8th the Tour de Trike returns to downtown Southern Pines kicking off at 5:00 p.m. with registration. The first race is scheduled for 5:30. A family friendly event, the United Way Tour de Trike is funny fundraising in support of 18 local nonprofit partner agencies.

This year the adult tricycle race takes on a new twist with the end of daylight saving time. Riders will be able to make use of all that glows; glow paint, glow necklaces, glow sticks, etc. Riders are free to dress in costume and see who will be selected as having the best costume, and of course in the ride to the finish…the fastest triker. The race is open to adults who want to participate. The participant fee is a $100 donation to support the 2018 United Way campaign for the community. Participants are encouraged to get sponsors and cheering fans to help support their racing efforts.
